locked in a game with the JV Rams at Rappahannock. Sophomore Lara Kreyling pitched the JV Panthers to their 9th straight district win, a 11-5 victory over Strasburg. Fellow sophomore, Jennifer Foreback, led the offense with three hits.
On Friday, the Varsity hosted the Lady Tigers from Brentsville. The Panthers wasted no time in getting back on the winning track. Senior Gwen Johnson led off the bottom of the first with a walk and sophomore Molly Burke’s key two-out single drove her in with the only run the Rappahannock side would need.
Junior Rachel Sharp dominated the Brentsville girls by pitching a three-hitter, walking none and striking out a season high 17 batters. The Varsity finished the week needing to win one of their two remaining games to clinch the regular season district championship. That win would guarantee the
