he hoped to resolve some "minor disagreements” with the State engineer at the May 10 meeting so that the process of acquiring a wastewater treatment system permit could be completed.
Mayor Willis also noted that the terms of the loan from the Rappahannock National Bank (RNB) for the new reservoir had been changed to make the instrument a line of credit of up to $200,000 in lieu of a straight loan for that amount, and that the RNB countered the Town’s requested cap of $1500 on loan closing costs with a $3,250 figure. The Council unanimously agreed to accept the terms.
The Mayor recommended that the Town accept Greeley and Hansen’s proposal for reservoir design services, and the Council unanimously agreed to do so, approving the expenditure of $7,400 for Greeley and Hansen's proposed effort.
Town finances
Treasurer Alice Butler reported on the Town’s finances, noting consolidated assets of $709,836.30, up some $11,000 from that noted in April, and water works assets of $10,570.45 through the close of the April reporting period.
