In Brief
“Child Find” to
be conducted
Rappahannock County Public Schools will conduct a “Child Find” on Friday. May 31 at RCES. This will correspond with the DARE/Field Day events. Parents with questions about their child’s development are encouraged to bring your child between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on that day. A group of specialists will be on hand to talk with parents and answer questions.
Public schools serve children from ages 2 to 21, and will screen children between birth and 21. Screening, at no cost to parents, will be in the areas of coordination, self-help, movement, social development, and language development.
If you have questions, please call Nancy Allegretto, Director of Special Education, at 987-8773, or Patti Hottinger, Special Education teacher, at 987-8259.
