Bertie Compton Scott.
Mr. Scott was a tool and diemaker and retired after 28 years from Loadmaster. He also served in the United States Navy. Mr. Scott was an avid gardener. woodworker and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Blanche Scott; his son, Kenneth Scott of Culpeper; his daughter. Pamela Lohr and her husband. David of Rixeyville; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors include two sisters, Gail Doggett and Joan Roberts, both of Culpeper; two brothers, John Scott of Front Royal and Clarence Ray Scott of Culpeper; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Vernon Scott and Marion Scott.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 13 at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery with honors provided by the Culpeper American Legion Post #330 and
