Chapter 15, MVoting Districts”, Of The

’Rappahannock County Code The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, proposes to adopt an ordinance amending Chapter 15 of the Rappahannock County Code, Chapter 15 relates to County election districts and polling places. The proposed amendments only effect the Wakefield Election District. A public hearing shall be held on the proposed amendments at the regular monthly public meeting of the Board of Supervisors on Monday, June 3, 2002 at 7:00 PM in the Rappahannock County Courthouse, Washington, Virginia. The amending ordinance is summarized as follows: 1. It amends the Wakefield Election District boundary to reflect the Rappahannock-Warren-Fauquier boundary adjustment approved by the Circuit Court for Rappahannock County on 4 April 2002. 2. It amends the Chester Gap Precinct boundary to reflect the Rappahannock-Warren-Fauquier County boundary adjustment approved by the Circuit Court for Rappahannock County on 4 April 2002, and places all of the residents of the Wakefield Election District who live north of Foot of the Mountain Run in that Precinct. 3. It clarifies that the School Board members are elected from the Same election districts as members of the Board of Supervisors as is already provided by another section of the County Code.
