the Southern Watercolor Society, the Kentucky Watercolor Society, the Baltimore Watercolor Society, the Athenaeum (affiliate of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts), and the Virginia Art League. She was invited to participate in the Smithsonian’s Artist-in-Residency Program.
Baliles’ work resides in permanent collections, including those of the White House President’s Library, the Governor’s Mansion in; Richmond, the National Watercolor Society, and the Dalai Lama.
Baliles, an artist at the age of five and a native of Washington, DC, is now a resident of the Culpeper area. She studied art at the Maryland College of Art and Design, Prince George’s College, Northern Virginia community college and in France.
