Nannie Caroline Kendall Payne. 88. of Front Royal died Thursday. May 9 at the home of her daughter in Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, May 12 at the Front Royal Church of the Brethren with Pastors Bobby and Diann Whetzel officiating. Burial followed in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
She was born Feb. 25, 1914 in Rappahannock County, a daughter of the late John and Lula Seal Kendall. Mrs. Payne was a homemaker and a member of Front Royal Church of the Brethren. She was married to the late Lester Payne.
Surviving are a son. William Edward Payne of Front Royal; three daughters. Haley Payne Drummonds of Winchester. Helen Payne Hope of Roanoke and Carolyn Pavne Mitchell of Front Royal; two sisters, Frances Bailey of Front Royal and Virgie Sisk of Hopewell; seven grandchildren
