In the Main Lesson studies, Paige Noel’s first through third grade closed their language arts block with a play they wrote themselves, based on a long verse entitled Fionn and the Rune of St. Patrick. They have also been reading the Arthurian Legends, including The Green Knight.

Classroom discussions about honor and chivalry inspired the students to write their own Codes of Chivalry, which include Always Do My Best; A Promise Made is a Debt Unpaid; Always Speak the Truth; and Keep Kindness and Compassion in all I say and Do.

Meanwhile, these children were busy making preparations for their annual Mother’s Day Tea. In this event, the children planned the menu, sat a beautiful table, served tea and food, cleared the table and washed the dishes.
