Drawing was not- a problem for Sam Nolan. A third grader at Wakefield County Day School, his portrait of a youthful George in a colorful pallet of patriotic reds and blues was awarded the purple prize. Nor was art difficult for brother Abe Nolan whose first grade first place “George as a Soldier” also earned a Judges’ Choice for Research/Detail.
