Moreover, women and minorities favor establishing personal accounts. If NOW respects their constituents’ abilities to make their own choices (i.e. “pro-choice”), logic demands that they support personal accounts. But thenreal objective seems to be increased government control. As usual, these leftists advocate policies that would positively harm those they claim to represent. More of the same will not do the job. The current system must be revamped to make retirement a better deal for women and minorities, and personal accounts are a step in the right direction.
