The honor of that award was presented to junior Dos Allen, having a season record of 39-3 with 24 pins and 75 career wins.
Spath’s Coach’s Choice award was presented to senior Johnathan Miller.
“Heart—that is one thing you have to have in this sport and he (Miller) had that,” Spath said, wiping a tear as he added that the senior will be missed on the team next year.
For the Junior Panther wrestling team, coach Hodge Miller presented his Most Valuable Player award to Jeremy Diley, an eighth grader, who, according to Miller, “with a 9-1 season record, was constantly giving up 70-80 pounds and kept wrestling with a great work ethic.”
As his Coach’s Choice, Miller presented the award to Austin Burnett.
“He (Burnett) was always at practice, always had a smile and gave everything he had to give,” Miller praised.
