Annie L. Dwyer

Annie L. Dwyer, 82, of Culpeper died March 3, at Orange County Nursing Home.
She was bom July 8. 1922 in Sperryville to the late David Marshall Dwyer and Nina Bowen Dwyer.
A native of Sperryville, she received a diploma from Mather School of Nursing at Southern Baptist Hospital, New Orleans, LA; the bachelor of arts degree from Howard College (now Samford University), Birmingham, AL; and the master of religious education degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She also attended a business school in Washington, D.C., and Cumberland University (now Cumberland College of Tennessee), Lebanon, Tenn.
Miss Dwyer had worked as a Southern Baptist missionary in Gaza, Jordan and Yemen, accumulating thirtytwo years of service, when she retired in May 1986. She spent thirteen years in Yemen, where she was a nurse at the Baptist Hospital in Jibla.
