Summers congratulated one of his players, Jacob Dodson, for setting a new Rappahannock County High School single game scoring record with 42 points being scored against Manassas Park during a regular season contest last month.
Dodson’s record overcame the 32 points in a single game record that was set in 1999 by Daniel Settle against Clarke County High School.
Coach Judd Hanberry presented his Coach’s Choice award for the boys’junior varsity basketball team to eighth grader Chase Tupper for his, “mental toughness and stepping out against older, faster people.”
Hanberry’s Most Valuable Player award was presented to Travis Jenkins.
