During the event, students were also given an opportunity to visit booths set up by several parents: Lisa Callanan, R.N., had a display on neonatal care and nursing careers, and Harry Heard, D.D.S. and his wife Valerie set up a booth on dentistry, complete with “dental care” goodie bags for all participants. The older students also presented their recently completed health care projects, which had been done in conjunction with the anatomy portion of their Health class. Jesse Marsh, Neil McClung, and Katie VonFange did a project on Body Organs, Gaia Read, Stephanie Stryker, and Haley Chadduck did The Skeletal System, and Annelise Riedel,and Bret Heddleston chose Muscles.
During the week, students took the National Mythology Exam and the National Spanish exam, lower school students took the National French Exam, and seniors began participating in workshops on the use of Excel and Powerpoint.
