around early 1950s South America deciding he wants to change the world. He and friend Alberto Granado (Rodigo de la Serna) embark on a road trip striving for quiet moments of character self-discovery as the young men encounter oppressed workers, lepers and other members of the starving class. Leaving family and friends behind in Buenos Aires and heading for the rural countryside, Granado, a 29year-pld biochemist and Guevara, a 23-year-old student one semester away from getting his medical degree had planned on being gone for four months, but their eventual odyssey would last twice as long, cover 8,000 miles, and forever change Guevara’s way of looking at his homeland’s social and economic inequity.

Che and Alberto are exact opposites with Guevara’s candid, charita1 ble demeanor standing in sharp contrast to the more gregarious Alberto.
