Sharp fell in a 3:26 pin, dropping him into the consolation bracket.
Smoot went on to claim his third state championship in finals action.
First round consi-action ended in a 4-0 minor decision for Sharp, defeating Lancaster’s Tim Blake.
Sharp then faced regional rival Doug Bradley for thirdfourth place.
