“The Motorcycle Diaries” is an adaptation of a journal written by Ernesto “Che” Guevara when he was 23 years old. Although this man will grow up to be a Marxist revolutionary in the Cuban revolution, with his friend Alberto Granado, the two are typical college students, who are seeking fun and adventure before graduation and decide to travel across Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Peru in order to do their medical residency at a leper colony.

The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) brings this poetic and stirring epic to The Theatre in Washington, VA, Friday, March 18, 8:00 p.m.

This intimate film celebrates the “other” Che Guevara played superbly by Gael Garcia Bernal, a rich kid on a junked-out motorcycle tooling
