Independence Air’s 18month flight ends Thursday, but the ramifications of its demise will linger.
The most immediate impact on the flying public: higher prices out of Washington Dulles International Airport to places once served by the airline whose parent company was known as Flyi, said Terry Trippler, airline expert for Cheapseats.com, an online travel broker.
