Edna S. Finchum, 76, of Warrenton, died on Monday, January 2, at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
She was bom in Amissville on April 16, 1929 a daughter of Harvey Sutphin and Edith Ruth Hume Sutphin.
She was a member of Warrenton United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Finchum retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia where she worked in Juvenile Probation Parole.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Amos V. Finchum, a son, Michael A| Finchum of Beaverdam, VA ana a brother, Harvey Sutphin Jr. of Amissville.
Additional survivors include her four grandchildren; and also three step-grandchildren
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Lucille Goff and Margaret Bailey.
Funeral services were held at Warrenton United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 5, with Rev. John Chadsey officiating. Interment followed in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton, VA.
