Day School Open House
The public is invited to a special Open House on Sunday, January 29 from 1 p. m. to 3 p. m. at Wakefield Country Day School, a preschool through twelfth grade college preparatory day school located at 1059 Zachary Taylor Highway in Flint Hill.
Come take a tour of the school and meet some of the faculty, staff, parents, and students who make up the Wakefield community. WCDS emphasizes scholarship in the classical tradition, and its stated mission is to develop each student’s character and intellect to its fullest potential.

February 12: Annual Lions Club Bland Music Contest
Rappahannock Lions Club will conduct its Annual Bland Music Contest at The Theatre in Washington on February 12 at 2 p.m.
All voice and instrumental musicians in grades K through 12, residing and/or enrolled in public and private schools and home schooled in Rappahannock County, are eligible to enter the contest and compete for cash prizes at the Club level. Winners will go on to compete for awards and scholarships at District, Regional and State levels.
