for antique nightstands, and Belmont Partners Consulting doesn’t bottle wine. Instead, these companies and a few more have all come to town with one very busy man, Joseph Meuse. He’s the new owner of both Clopton House and the building at 261 Main St in Washington, as well as owner of Belmont Partners Consulting, and Integrity Filings LLC and part owner of Pacwest Transfer LLC and he has to carry a lot of business cards. In addition, two companies which work closely with Meuse, Piedmont Properties and Tristate Title, are moving into Clopton House along side his many businesses. Meuse is refurbishing Clopton House to hold all of these entities, but only on the inside.
“I love this building and I love this town, I don’t want either of them to change,” said Meuse. Meuse’s move to the town with his entourage of corporations is a part of a gradual move for him and his family.
Right now Meuse lives in Warrenton with his wife, Jackie, who owns popular pottery store Earth Glaze and Fire, but they own property in Castleton. “Right now there’s just a tepee on it, but one day there will be a house,” smiled Meuse.

Wearing this many hats might make it difficult for Meuse if his children bring him to “Career Day” and explaining what he actually does wouldn’t help. Most of the business that will be conducted in Clopton House deals with very specific aspects of the business bureaucracy.
