PURSUANT to Section 170-129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at seven-thirty in the evening in the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia, in order to consider the following application:

SU 05-12-01 Jackson Newbill Miller, Jr., owner of 12 acres on Business Rt. 211 in Hampton District (Tax Map 29, Parcel 9B, zoned A - Agricultural in the Haskell Agricultural and Forestal District), desires a Special Use permit to construct a frame or log cabin structure to serve as a professional office with less than three (3) employees. Use allowed under Section 170-36E of the Rappahhanock County Code; additional standards under Section 170-66E of the Code.

No applicant or other party in interest, and no attorney for an applicant or party in interest, shall initiate a contact with a member of the BZA for the purpose of conducting a private discussion, in person or by telephone, concerning the merits of any application, appeal, or other matter pending before the BZA. No member of the BZA shall participate in any such private discussion. Site visits or similar contacts initiated by BZA members shall not constitute such ex parte contacts.

A COPY of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Said application will be presented to the Rappahannock County Planning Commission at their regular meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at seven-thirty in the evening at the Rappahannock County Courthouse for such recommendation as the Commission may wish to make pursuant to Section 170-55, if any.
