Baseball registration
The Rappahannock Culpeper Babe Ruth Baseball League will be holding registration for the upcoming 2006 spring season. Stuart Field, home of RAA/RCB, is conveniently located just a few minutes from Clevenger’s corner traffic light off Route 211.
Registration days will be held at the following locations:
Amissville Firehouse on Saturday January 21st and February 4th
Jeffersonton Community Center on Saturday January 28th and February 11th
Registration times at both locations will be held from 9 a. m. until 1 p. m. Players new to the league will need to provide a birth certificate. U.S. Senator George Allen (RVA) will have his representative for Western Virginia, Chaz EvansHaywood, available to meet with local citizens on Wednesday, January 25, at the Rappahannock County Library from noon to 1:30 p.m. to discuss issues facing the area with constituents and to help anyone having problems with a federal agency.
“If you’re having problems with a federal agency or want to express your opinion on issues facing Virginia or the nation, I’d urge you to come down and talk to Chaz in Washington. Through these local visits, we can bring some good Virginia common sense back to Washington, D.C.,” remarked Allen.
