her family. Her fruitcake was always made on the day after Thanksgiving, and anyone present during the process was allowed to stir the batter and make a wish.
Mrs. Connelly had a wide knowledge of cooking and loved to prepare meals for visitors, always accompanying the food with a good cup of tea. Her gardens were a constant source of delight to her, and she spent many happy hours among her flowers.
Everyone who came in contact with her was blessed with her love and care. She loved all people, believing that every person who walked into her home personified Christ. Her love for her Catholic faith was deep and abiding, strengthening her marriage and helping her face many health problems with calm strength.
