Edna June Connelly, 78, of Warrenton died on Wednesday, December 28, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
A native of England, she was bom in Caldecote on June 13, 1927.
The love that blossomed during World War II in England endured through 61 years of marriage to her beloved “Bill.” Although English bom and bred, she was a strong American and raised her children with American morals and ideals.
In addition to the guidance and support she gave to her family, she worked for ten years as a Nursing Assistant at Prince William Hospital, Manassas, VA and cared for terminally ill patients in their homes. After retirement, she continued to care for others through her active involvement in her church and numerous prayer chains.
An avid knitter who learned to crochet in her later years, she made shawls and sweaters for each new grandchild. She also made beautiful beaded ornaments for all of her children and many friends. She passed down many Christmas traditions from England as well as new traditions she created to make the holiday season special for
