DeLisi said Flyi has submitted to bankruptcy court a request to offer employees a package of continuing benefits, such as health care, through the end of the month.
Larry Rosenstrauch, director of the Loudoun Department of Economic Development, said it is working with its friends in the workforce world “to make sure we’re all coordinated in delivering services to the folks coming out of Flyi.”
Rosenstrauch said the county has a low unemployment rate and a strong market that should help the airline’s employees find new employers, whether they are continuing their careers in the industry or re-training for different fields.
