For the past two years, the Rappahannock County High School Band has been on a winning streak and now it has brought back top honors again. As it has in past regional competitions, the Concert Band, the Marching Band, and the Jazz Ensemble were honored this past weekend with “Superior Ratings” at the “Music in the Park” regional state competition held in Cedar Point, Ohio—the “World Roller Coaster Capitol.”
Additionally, Rappahannock’s talented students took First Place honors for Best Concert Band, Best Marching Band, and Best Jazz Ensemble.
Moreover, as if all those honors were not enough to write’home about, the Rappahannock students were awarded “Best Overall” for the work of its Marching Band and the Jazz Ensemble.
As it has done in the past, enthusiastic Rappahannock supporters of the band were offered a Spring Concert at the Rappahannock County High School last Thursday where they saw first hand the talent that would win the students so many honors the next two days.
