May 26: Blue Rock Inn

The band “Hard Rain” will be performing Friday night May 26 at the Blue Rock Inn. While the band hails from Charlottesville, Virginia, two of its members include former county residents Vincent Day and Dinah Pearson. During the performance, the band intends on covering material belonging to Sonny Boy Williamson, T. Bone Walker, Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, Junior Wells, Elmore James and Buddy Guy. In addition, the band is looking forward to performing the songs of Bob Dylan, The Band, The Texas Tornadoes, Merle Haggard, Commander Cody, Donavon and Gary Stewart as well (and anything else with three chords...). Friday night the band will feature Dinah Pearson on vocals, Dan Sebring on lead guitar/vocals, Spencer Lathrop on drums, Craig Reid on bass/vocals, George Paul on keyboards and Vincent Day on rhythm guitar/ vocals.

May 27: Plant Swap
Jenna Stone will be hosting a plant swap at her home on Saturday, May 27. Traders may begin arriving at 9 a.m. and we’ll go until the last plant is traded! Bring a plant, take a plant. I will have tons of seedlings myself and also will be trading seeds as well for summer and winter sowing. There will be a potluck lunch so bring a dish or some other contribution (i.e. drinks, paper plates, napkins, etc.) I suggest traders bring a small table or a wagon for their plants. My home is surrounded by waist high stone walls that are wide and shelf like but traders are welcome to bring small card tables.
