Walks in
Shenandoah
By Maureen Harris
Special to the Rappahannock News
On Saturday, June 3, the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club and the Shenandoah National Park will be sponsoring a series of guided walks and informational displays to learn more about the natural world of our ‘local’ park, Shenandoah National Park.
Admission is free and all are welcome. Events will be held throughout the day at the Harry F. Byrd Visitor Center, located at milepost 51 off of Skyline Drive, which is 51 miles south of the Front Royal entrance station to Skyline Drive and 14 miles south of the Thornton Gap entrance station (the latter is accessed from Route 211).
