beventeen-year-old Alex Ramey, a junior, and sophomore defender Dugald Day, kept the ball on the Rams side of the field all game which gave the speedy mid-fielders Dos Allen and Matt Lawrey ample opportunities to score, which they did.
Allen and Lawrey both had goals and many shots on net, or on woods, because they both sent some fireball blasts at the direction of the goal, but many of their balls ended up soaring into the woods behind the net some 30-40 yards out of bounds.
Midway through the first half, Allen was at the receiving end of a slide-tackle from a Ram’s defender in which his ankle was rolled and he suffered some minor tendon pulls. He shook it off, stayed in the game with a slightly noticeable hobble, but even a little hurt, he continued to be a dominant offensive force harassing the Ram’s keeper and hustling for possession of every ball.
