Only two decades after Armistice Day on Nov. 11, 1918, nations again clashed and there I was carrying a rifle and trained to kill. In short order (at least from my current perspective of 85 years) came the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, the Serbian War, the Afghanistan War, and the Iraqi War. All these in the name of being right.
So the question arises, “What are we doing that is right?” How is it we are always on the “right” side? As we once again memorialize the deaths of our fallen comrades, both male and female, just what are we memorializPECTION
