So much work goes into putting on a large fundraiser that everyone keeps their fingers crossed until the last minute, hoping for good weather, good attendance, and significant contributions to the organization.
The Rappahannock Historical Society’s major annual fundraiser at an historic county property had perfect weather, outstanding attendance, and hopefully a shot in the arm financially when all the proceeds are counted.
Over 250 tickets were sold for the event.
Louise van Dort, who is serving as interim president of the Society, stepped up and offered words of praise for all those who worked so tirelessly to make the event a success. She first thanked the hosts, John and Pam Kiser, for offering their historic home as the venue for this crucial fundraiser and then praised Judy Tole who so ably chaired
