Juanita Whorton of Culpeper pled guilty to an amended charge of petit larceny in circuit court on Monday, February 14. The charge stemmed from a break-in at the residence of Robert Craft of Castleton on June 26, 1979.
After a review of the evidence with Sheriff W. A. Buntin, charges of statutory burglary and grand larceny in connection with a second break-in were dropped in exchange for the guilty plea to the lesser charge Mrs. Whorton also agreed to cooperate with the Commonwealth in further investigation and prosecution of other individuals.
