Coppedge
Douglas Marvin Coppedge, 79, of Etlan died Sunday, February 10, 1980, at a Warrenton nursing home after a long illness.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Haywood, by the Rev. Ronald Wiley and the Rev. John Ellington. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Coppedge was a lifelong resident of Madison County, the son of the late Wesley William and Effie Leathers Coppedge and the husband of the late Helen Coates Coppedge He was a farmer and orchardist, and a member of F. T. Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, William W. Coppedge Jr. and Fred L. Coppedge, both of Etlan and two sisters, Mrs. Scott M. Henshaw of Reva and Mrs. Thurman Mitchell of Haywood.
