to plead guilty to charges of statutory burglary at both the Craft residence and the home of Norman Grimsley, also of Castleton. Whorton also agreed to cooperate with the Commonwealth in further prosecution resulting from information which was disclosed in an interview with Sheriff Buntin, Commonwealth's Attorney Douglas Baumgardner and special prosecutor David Konick on February 4.

As a result of the interview, charges of grand larceny and statutory burglary have been lodged against Walter T. Elam of Remington.

The Whorton case has been continued until March 10, opening date of the next circuit court term. Elam’s preliminary hearing is set for March 4.
