Local cattlemen both bought and sold at the Virginia Beef Cattle Improvement Association’s Senior Bull Sale in Culpeper on Saturday, January 19.
An Angus bull consigned by Ray Cannon of Castleton went for the second best price of the day. A Linebacker of Wye son, who had a weaning weight of 577 pounds (ratio 112), test average daily gain of 3.61 pounds (ratio 120) and an adjusted 365-day weight of 1,118 pounds (ratio 111), sold for $3,050.
