OVER 400 people
gathered in the Washington
High School auditorium to discuss what could be done to better the schools of Rappahannock County. Included in the discussion were recommendations for consolidation of the highfii schools to only one; four primary schools—Washington, Amissville, Sperryville and Flint Hill; three elementary schools—Washington, Flint Hill and Sperryville.
No concrete action came from the meeting which adjourned because of the late hour.
Mrs. W. A. Miller entertained with a canasta party at Mt. Prospect for a number of the young people of the community.
Mrs. B. J. Wood was hostess for the February meeting of the Flint Hill Garden Club and Paul L. Miller showed slides of Williamsburg. The exhibits were fruit arrangements and Mrs. J. M. Settle’s was judged as first place.
