"Fisher himself isn't sure if the cow would have lived or not," added Baldwin.
"1 agree it’s a most unusual situation,” Wood commented. “It would have been better if Fisher had a letter from the vet."
“Up to the time the dogs got on her, he felt the cow had a perfectly good chance," Fisher countered, adding that the cow was sitting up unassisted by the time he left Saturday morning.
"But was she given reasonable protection for the shape she was in?” asked Latham who a few minutes later left the meeting to return to his farm and care foi . jick cow of his own.
The supervisors took no action on Fisher’s claim, tabling it until after they receive additional information from Dr. Graves, the vet who treated the cow.
