A resolution to study raising the driving age was killed in committee. Another bill to require an 18-year-old to be in the automobile with a younger driver probably won’t make it either.
A bill to exempt farm trucks from weight limits is now in committee. Exempting college textbooks from sales taxes has reached the House. This bill will be voted on tomorrow. An interesting bill to allow local, governments to self-insure is on the docket.
There are many other important bills now surfacing, however, I have run out of space. Next week I hope to tell you about them. Public hearings take up too much time and space. See you next week.
