The auditors who
examined and audited the
books for Rappahannock County said at the Board of Supervisors Meeting that the books were in excellent condition and made the auditors job very easy.
At the boiud meeting Sheriff C. K. Estes reported that the re-wiring of the jail had been completed as well as other repairs. He also reported that the state inspector advised heavy screens over the windows to eliminate the possibility of anything being passed through a window.
Rep. John O. Marsh announced that he would not seek re-election in the fall for the Seventh District congressional seat. He expressed appreciation to the Rappahannock citizens for their previous support in his election to serve four terms.
Mr. and Mrs. John H. Williams of Amissville attended the Silver Quill Award dinner at the Sheraton Park Hotel at which time astronaut Conrad received an award. Music was provided by the U. S. Marine Corps Band. A
