$10,115.60. The 4-H market lambs averaged 110 lbs. and sold for an average of $1.21 a pound for total receipts of $2,847.50. Rappahannock Farmer’s Co-op purchased the champion market lamb for $1.40 a pound. The lamb was shown by Charlotte Magee of Rappahannock and weighed 130 pounds. . In other categories:

In the home economics department Jane and Sherri Kidwell, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. George Kidwell. Jr. of Castleton won ribbons. In arts and crafts, Jane received a second place for her charcoal sketch and Sherri placed second with her insect collection in the hobby division.
Also in hobbies, Matthew Owings of Sperryville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rap Owings, placed first with his rock collection.
