Lester (Cliff) Sisk of Jenkins Hollow has shot three rattlesnakes this year near his home, but Monday morning while he was clipping grass around his steps, a big rattler caught him without his gun. In fact, Sisk said, the snake struck at his leg before Sisk killed him with his hand sickle.
“He was right up in the grass around my steps," Sisk said. “Luckily, he hit at my pants leg at a loose spot and missed my leg altogether."
