Richard Catron has taught vocational agriculture at Luray High School for 17 years and currently is serving his second term on the Page County Board of Supervisors. He is also a member of the Lord Fairfax Planning District Commission and was chairman of the commission for two years.
Born in Rural Retreat, he lived in Wythe County for 17 years, attended Virginia Tech, earning undergraduate and masters degrees in agricultural education.
With his wife Josephine, he also owns and manages the Beef Baron restaurant outside Luray. The couple has three children and four grandchildren.
