Courses on Passive Solar Design have been scheduled at off-campus locations in Luray, Mt. Jackson and Warrenton on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings respectively.
The fees for adult education classes range from no fee for the Law Everyone Should Know series to $50 for the Guitar and Solar Design classes. The average fee is $30.
The duration of the course, the starting time and costs for supplies and equipment (if any) also vary. Persons wishing more information should call the Continuing Education office at Lord Fairfax at 869-1120.
These offerings are supported entirely by the fees paid by the participants, 30 percent of which is reimbursed to the college to offset overhead costs.
Trout Farm
Expands
The Skyline Trout Farm in Old Hollow has recently enlarged one part of the pond to accommodate fishermen interested in the larger golden trout and rainbow trout. A twenty-two inch trout was caught there last week by Lynwood Blankenbaker.
The trout farm will stay open through December and will open on request throughout the winter months.
