been much less agreeable to tax increases than recent Governors have been. Mr. Robb goes further than simple promises—he proposes a plan that will help to prevent tax increases. First, he says the number of state employees when he takes office will be the greatest number of state employees during his administration. This means the number of state employees will not be increased during his term of office. Secondly, he supports a constitutional amendment to limit state spending.
Chuck Robb is my candidate for Virginia’s next Governor because I believe through his responsible leadership in the fine Virginia tradition of fiscal responsibility, we can avoid tax increases.
