For the - past ten years, Delegate Raymond R. "Andy” Guest has provided effective representation for our neighbors in Warren, Clarke, Fauquier and Frederick counties. We feel he will do the same as the delegate from the new 18th legislative district and for that reason, the Rappahannock News endorses Andy Guest.
His five terms in the General Assembly have led to seats on four important committees—agriculture, roads and internal navigation, conservation and natural resources and finance. His seniority gives him influence he can wield to Rappahannock’s advantage; influence that a freshman delegate can’t begin to approach, no matter how hard working or dedicated he may be.
In his campaign, Guest has visited county offices and talked with local government officials to learn their problems. He attended this month’s meeting of the Rappahannock school
