“I’ve never heard of a dance closing down at 12,” C. E. Giles said. “Why, you're just getting started good then.” Giles suggested that the dancers be asked to contain their noise on the premises somehow, after midnight.
Brad Fisher said that the council needed to be careful in their recommendation because the same rule could apply to midnight church services or other local activities.
Miller called for a second to Updike’s motion but there was none. The major suggested that Updike think about the wording of the motion for discussion at the next meeting.
