In light of growing concern with the issue, the council had scheduled the special meeting for Sept. 12 to focus specifically on uranium development and to review the information collected by its Uranium Mining Study Committee during the past year. Marline was invited to make a presentation and was represented at the meeting by Norman W. Reynolds, vice president, Edward E. Lane, President of Edward E. Lane Associates, Inc., Dr. Leonard D. Hamilton of Brookhaven National Laboratories in New York, and Stephen Potts of the law firm of Shaw, Pittman, Potts and Trowbridge.
