At a special meeting Thursday night, the Rappahannock school board voted unanimously to offer Robert T. Chappell a contract as principal of the county high school for 198283.
Chappell, currently assistant principal at Madison County High School, accepted the offer Friday evening, according to superintendent Robert Estabrook.
A native of North Carolina, Chappell is a 196b graduate of the University of Chapel Hill, earning his bachelor’s degree in political science.
He was awarded a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from the University of Virginia in 1972, and in 1978 received an endorsement in secondary administration from UVa.
