Jenkins' decision to change his plea guilty came just an hour before his case was scheduled to go before a jury.
According to an outline of the circumstances presented by commonwealth's attorney Douglas Baumgardner, Jenkins and Linda Ridgeway, also of Washington, were in the parking lot at B & B Service Center on Route 211 on the night of September 26, 1981, when the defendant fired at a truck in w hich Billy Fstes and Angela McClyborn, both from Manassas. and Jimmy McFarland of Washington were riding.
